Will America be great again?

Welcome to AI Collision 💥,

In today’s collision between AI and our world:

  • The Don wins it by a mile
  • The CIAs AI strikes a new deal
  • You got it right!

If that’s enough to get the MAGA hats flying, read on…

AI Collision 💥

I will admit I usually have a horrific record when it comes to picking the winner of elections.

But this time, it was different.

While some suggest X.com is an echo chamber, my take is it’s far from that. I think it is a closer window into what people think than you’ll ever see in the mainstream media.

For months it’s been very clear that Trump was going to march his way into the White House.

Now, I’m sure many people will claim to have predicted this outcome. And I’m sure plenty did, and I’m sure plenty are talking out of their backsides.

But when your entire back catalogue of work is online for everyone to see, it’s easy to see how right or wrong you can be over time…

“So, let’s roll the tape – what is our video referee saying about Sam’s call?”

“How about this one, John, from 16 of July…

I think [the assassination attempt] it’s going to solidify Trump’s run at presidency, and it’ll be a decisive factor in him getting back into the White House.

In which case, it’s going to be bullish for markets, bullish for crypto, it’s going to be bullish for US domestic energy providers notably oil and gas and nuclear (but not so much for the renewables sector), US military and ultimately the US markets.

That was almost four months ago. I’m pretty happy with that.

However, was I also right about it being bullish for markets, crypto, domestic energy and military as well?

“OK, John, let’s roll the tape again…”

You get the idea.

Looks like a Trump win is good for the market.

But it won’t be completely smooth sailing. There’s going to be a lot of legislation Joe Biden put into play that will come under scrutiny. But also, probably just torn up and redone so it’s got Trump’s name on it.

That means there will be some worry and concern in the market from time to time about funding being cut. But I expect it will then come back as Trump looks to MAGA. And in order to MAGA, he needs growth, lots of growth.

The number one area for growth in the US right now is backing the rise of AI in data centres with Big Tech, nuclear energy and the continued push to redomicile tech manufacturing in the US at scale.

This is such an important avenue for growth. In fact, you might have noticed in this election big-name tech players, be it Zuckerberg, Bezos, Cook, Altman, wooing Trump during this campaign and not being adversarial towards him.

In short, for the AI industry, Trump’s win is good. Good for the broader market, good for tech. And good for investors.

AI farming set to grow $9 billion in 18 months

AI-controlled machines will soon plant, nurture and harvest everything we eat. Because by 2050, we will need to produce 60% more food just to feed the global population.

That giant leap in food production is almost impossible with current farming techniques because we don’t have enough land or water. This is where AI can come to our rescue.

Today I want to show you how to get on this opportunity. Details here…

AI gone wild 🤪

This might be one of the most influential AI deals… in history.

Of course, we’ll only know for sure in the years to come. But to summarise this mega-deal with a meme (I’m on a meme generation streak at the moment):

OK, OK, so technically this is a deal between Anthropic and Palantir… but it’s via AWS – and let’s not forget Amazon has pumped billions into Anthropic as a key investor too.

But the deal I’m referring to was announced by Palantir yesterday, titled: Anthropic and Palantir Partner to Bring Claude AI Models to AWS for U.S. Government Intelligence and Defense Operations.

No doubt the deal has been in the works for a while. But the timing of it, a day after the results of a US presidential election, can’t be ignored either.

Dario Amodei is the founder and CEO of Anthropic – and yes, he was also the former VP of Research at OpenAI. So, you are definitely starting to really see how the “OpenAI Mafia” are spreading their wings.

Note: If you’re wondering what I mean by “OpenAI Mafia”, check out this about the “PayPal Mafia”. I think the same thing will play out in the next couple of decades from those who were on the ground floor with OpenAI.

Anyway, back to this Anthropic (Amazon) and Palantir deal. I think the way this is shaping up for Palantir is interesting. Palantir is often maligned because of its longstanding ties to US government agencies, in particular the CIA. It’s still said that Palantir had a much more important role which led to the capture and execution of Osama Bin Laden than is made out.

But now as the gatekeeper for AI services in US government agencies, Palantir is effectively “approving” Anthropic’s Claude AI systems into the circle of trust – and through AWS and Amazon’s involvement too.

Regardless of the president, these companies are all deeply entrenched in US security services – Palantir the most, as it’s been there through multiple changes of government.

AI warfare will no doubt be a focus for Trump (anything that removes US soldiers from the line of fire) so deals like this suggest that companies at the pointy end of it (Palantir, Amazon, Anthropic) have a long and potentially prosperous time ahead of them.

Boomers & Busters 💰

Boom 📈

  • Cyngn (NASDAQ:CYN) up 34%
  • Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) up 18%
  • Micron (NASDAQ:MU) up 13%

Bust 📉

  • iRobot (NASDAQ:IRBT) down 20%
  • Amesite (NASDAQ:AMST) down 7%
  • EchoIQ (ASX:EIQ) down 2%

From the hive mind 🧠

  • I mentioned earlier how Trump’s win is good for AI and Big Tech. They know where and how their bread is buttered in the US, and it comes from the top. That’s why they’ve all been ever so kind in congratulating him on the win.
  • I’m not sure what to make of an announcement from Meta on open source AI for US government agencies coming from… Nick Clegg.
  • Nvidia clearly gets all the plaudits for its pushing the boundaries of AI hardware, but don’t write off AMD. This might not look like much, but don’t underestimate CEO Lisa Su’s innovative nature and AMD’s potential to deliver kick-ass hardware too.

You guys are good.

Very good.

I’ll just leave this here.

We’ll take a break from the polls this weekend, enjoy the markets melting up and we’ll have a new poll with you on Tuesday.
